The wondrous festival of Thanksgiving gives us a chance to thank the Almighty for showering his blessings upon mankind. In this endeavor, Thanksgiving poems come really useful. Thanksgiving poems are found in various types, right from funny to religious. Religious Thanksgiving poems beautifully express your thankfulness towards God for always being there for us. Such Thanksgiving poems impart a spiritual color to Thanksgiving celebrations, highlighting the true values and meanings of Thanksgiving. Devout poems on Thanksgiving, similar to Thanksgiving prayers, are generally recited or read aloud during Thanksgiving festivities with the entire family and guests around. Such poems impact the young minds most and instill good values of being thankful to God for everything, in them. Listed here are some highly pious and religious poems for Thanksgiving.
A time of gratitude to God, our Creator and Provider,
Whose guidance and care go before us.
And whose love is with us forever.
A time to reflect on the changes,
To remember that we, too, grow and change
From one season of life to another.
A time of changing seasons, when leaves turn golden
In autumn's wake and apples are crisp
In the first chill breezes of fall.
Let us remember the true meaning of Thanksgiving.
As we see the beauty of Autumn,
Let us acknowledge the many blessings which are our...
Let us think of our families and friends
And let us give thanks in our hearts.
Thanksgiving Day Prayer
Heavenly Father, on Thanksgiving Day
We bow our hearts to You and pray.
We give You thanks for all You've done
Especially for the gift of Jesus, Your Son.
For beauty in nature, Your glory we see
For joy and health, friends and family,
For daily provision, Your mercy and care
These are the blessings You graciously share.
So today we offer this response of praise
With a promise to follow You all of our days.

Lord, So Often Times...
Lord, so often times, as any other day
When we sit down to our meal and pray
We hurry along and make fast the blessing
Thanks, amen. Now please pass the dressing
We're slaves to the olfactory overload
We must rush our prayer before the food gets cold
But Lord, I'd like to take a few minute more
To really give thanks to what I'm thankful for
For my family, my health, a nice soft bed
My friends, my freedom, a roof over my head
I'm thankful right now to be surrounded by those
Whose lives touch me more than they'll ever possibly know Thankful Lord, that You've blessed me beyond measure
Thankful that in my heart lives life's greatest treasure
That You, dear Jesus, reside in that place
And I'm ever so grateful for Your unending grace
So please, heavenly Father, bless this food You've provided
And bless each and every person invite

Lord, on this special day of thankfulness,
we thank You not only for the delicious food,
lovingly prepared and presented,
but also for special gifts
You've given to this family—
loved ones we cherish dearly,
a comfortable place to live,
the beauty that surrounds us,
health, spiritual wealth,
and so much more.
How can we show our gratitude for
the countless blessings You've provided?
We thank You for giving us clear direction,
through Your Holy Word
on how to show our appreciation,
by obeying Your commands
and by loving and serving our neighbors.
Thank You, Lord.
